Lawyer Assistance Programs (LAPs) throughout the country provide confidential services and support to judges, lawyers and law students who facing are mental health or substance use issues.

Employer Assistance Programs (EAPs)

Many legal employers have internal or third-party EAPs which can provide confidential support to employees and their family members around a variety of well-being issues, including mental health services, financial counseling, training and coaching, and general wellness. We encourage lawyers to learn more about their individual employer’s offerings.

Institute for Well-Being in Law (IWIL)

Formerly the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being, which published the groundbreaking report, The Path to Lawyer Well-Being: Practical Recommendations for Positive Change. This 501(c)(3) organization is a national leader and resource for well-being in the legal industry.
